Since it was reported that Seyi Shay shared a deep kiss with Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, aka Vector, in a forthcoming movie, Lara, and the Beat, there have been reports that the two musicians could be in a relationship.

However, in an encounter with Sunday Scoop, Seyi Shay rubbished the reports, saying that she shared a long history with Vector even before they became known musicians. 

She said, “I have a long and exciting history with Vector before the music and movie. He was one of the reasons I stayed in Nigeria to do music. 

When I first came to Nigeria, he was the first friend I made in the music industry.

 He really helped me understand the Nigerian music and told me things I didn’t know at a time. I featured him on the remix of Irawo. 

I am happy it was him I played a movie role with. It was very easy working with him because I know him well. 

I don’t know anything about being in a relationship with Vector, but I definitely think Lara and the Beat is a movie worth watching because we both share a strong chemistry.”

 

Taking a break from music to feature in the forthcoming movie, she admitted that she feared she might lose her relevance. She stated, “To play the movie role, I abandoned my music career for about two months as the hours on set were very long.

 I couldn’t go to shows neither could I record songs. I lost money but I made a great movie. 

However, I was extremely worried that the break could make me lose my fans but it didn’t. Acting in a movie has added to my profile and brand. 

When the movie comes out, it will boost my popularity.”

Speaking on her recent cozy pictures with Kiss Daniel, which also ignited dating rumors, she said, “Those were just pictures taken on the set of a new music video and nothing more. I don’t pay attention to what people say on social media. I’ve done what I wanted to do and I have moved on,” he stated.

Just last week, singer Orezi took to social media to call out a fellow celebrity who has been owing him for the past six months without any plans of paying back, threatening to disclose the celeb’s identity if he didn’t pay back in 24 hours.

I did what I did because I felt he was taking me for granted. But I am happy he got the message and looked for the money. He’s yet to pay in full but has dropped some money. Before then, he didn’t respond to my calls.”

He also stopped replying my messages on WhatsApp even though he was obviously reading them. The celebrity made me do it.

Police Rescue Mikel Obi’s Father, From Kidnappers In Enugu State

Enugu – The police in Enugu on Monday rescued Pa Michael Obi, the father of Super Eagles Captain, Mikel Obi, from kidnappers.

It was gathered that Pa Obi and his driver, one Ishaya John, were rescued unhurt from the hideout of the kidnappers at Egede Udi forest of Enugu State along old Egede-Affa Road, Enugu.

Pa Obi and his driver were kidnapped last Friday along Makurdi-Enugu Road on his way from Jos in his grey colored Toyota Prado jeep with registration number MUS 604CG and taken to an unknown destination through the thick forest part of the area.

They were, however, rescued by men of the 9th Mile Division of Enugu State Police Command on Monday about 2.30pm.

Ebere Amaraizu, the spokesman of Enugu State Police Command, confirmed the release of Mikel Obi’s father and his driver.

Amaraizu, a Superintendent of Police, said they were rescued hale and hearty.

He said Pa Michael Obi and the driver have rejoined their families.

Amaraizu stated further: “It was further gathered that the abductors started calling to demand a ransom of N10 million before the operatives acting on intelligence information swooped on them where a gun duel ensued which forced the hoodlums to abandon their victims inside the forest and they were promptly rescued.”

In his reaction, Pa Michael Obi extolled the response and efforts of the police which led to their rescue.

He thanked the Commissioner of Police, Danmallam Mohammed, and his operatives, insisting that he was happy with the operatives’ performance.

“I am alive and healthy. I thank the Commissioner of Police and the police operatives for their efforts which led to our rescue”, Pa Obi said.

At the office of the Commissioner of Police, a team of doctors from the police medical unit was seen conducting medical checks on Pa Michael Obi.

The doctors also confirmed that he was hale and hearty.

Meanwhile, the Enugu State Police Command has appealed to members of the public particularly hospital owners and operators to watch out for anyone with the injury or wound believed to be that of a bullet for prompt necessary action just as a full-scale investigation had commenced into the incident.

The state Commissioner of Police, Danmallam Mohammed applauded the efforts of his operatives and that of the members of the public for their timely and useful information.

Amaraizu added that Michael Obi’s Prado jeep was equally recovered from the hoodlums.

But friends insist the pair will remain close friends to continue to parent their 1-year-old son, Bear, together.

A pal revealed: “Cheryl and Liam worked really hard on their relationship — they had troubles earlier this year and were able to get through them.

“But they’re in different stages of their lives and, after a lot of careful thought, came to a decision that it’s best for everyone if they do go their separate ways.

“He still cares for her and she cares for him.
They still have an ongoing relationship together. They have a baby together.

“Both Cheryl and Liam have successful careers that take a lot of time, which didn’t always make things easy. There were ups and downs for a long time.”

After being approached by the Sun, Cheryl, 35, and Liam, 24, released a statement confirming their breakup.

They posted a message on social media that read: “We are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways. It’s been a tough decision for us to make.

“We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together.”

Sources close to the couple say the split is amicable and there is no third party involved.

A friend explained: “This was a mutual loving decision. There is no animosity — they made the call based on what’s best for their family.

“They get on great and this was a decision they made taking into account what’s right for their son.

“But they are adamant they will be the best possible parents to Bear by both being in his life.

“Liam is living elsewhere but he still sees Bear all the time.”

Cheryl celebrated her 35th birthday on Friday night with close pals, including her Girls Aloud bandmates and best friends Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh. Liam was in the UK but did not attend.

Cheryl posted a birthday picture of herself on Instagram with the caption: “Go shorty it’s my birthday.”

Nigerian singer says Tiwa Savage is forcing herself on Wizkid – tags her “desperate”

A certain Nigerian songstress who goes by the name “Kimora” has taken to social media to react to the much-lauded affair between the international starboy, Wizkid and the Mavin Records Queen, Tiwa Savage. Her reaction is epic!!!

A lot of fans, both Wizkid’s and Tiwa Savage’s have criticized the alleged affair between Wizkid and Tiwa, their chief point of the criticism being that Tiwa, a divorcee with a child, is way older than Wizkid. In their opinion, it is a shameful thing for Tiwa to stoop so low as to being sexually involved with a “small boy” and flaunting it on the media.

Well, you might want to call that criticism a constructive one. But what would you call Kimora’s version of criticism which tagged Tiwa Savage “desperate???” The Naija singer shared a video online blasting Tiwa badly. In her words: 

“My fellow Nigerians, this message is for Tiwa Savage and Wizkid. Can someone really tell me what is going on between them? This posting, posting, tagging, tagging, I'm not going to keep quiet, and I don't care what anybody would say about this. I'm saying this, particularly to Tiwa Savage. I think she's the one pushing everything.”

Going by the way Wizkid and Mavin Queen, Tiwa Savage were going about their dealings in recent times, it was quickly alleged that the two stars could be romantically or sexually attracted to each other. Well, Wizkid just confirmed the rumor.

Not long ago, Tiwa Savage finalized her divorce with TeeBillz and not long after, she was spotted goofing around with Wizkid at every celebrity corner like Davido does with Chioma. While Davido and Chioma’s affair is seen as normal, the same cannot be said about that of Wizkid and Tiwa Savage who’s way older than Wizkid and even has a child.

To add to that, she was once married and isn’t expected to be playing around with youngsters like Wizkid. However, the mother of one doesn’t seem to be seeing things from the angle every other person is seeing, as she audaciously hooked up with Wizkid. Up until now, the whole thing was considered a rumor. However,  Wizkid sort of confirmed it on his IG page.

Posting an artwork of Tiwa Savage on his IG page, he captioned it; “Love this one.” As if that wasn’t enough, Tiwa took to her Instastory to share a picture of herself and Wizkid and captioned it thus, “Bestie.” Any further proof needed???

In Davido’s world, finding her kind is rare! Davido revealed this after a fan trolled him over his Porsche car gift to Chioma on her birthday. The troll said: “Well time will tell. Nigerian artiste and self-acclaimed Port Harcourt first son, who was accused of using his sister’s sanity for money ritual, and also accused of making money from oil bunkering, has come out to debunk the rumor, saying his money is legit.

According to him, his money is not a product of any illegal dealing. He made this known during an interview session with Saturday Beat where he categorically stated that he has been able to make a good life for himself through hard work and the special grace of God. He said he doesn’t understand why people would lay such allegation against him.

However, he suspects that it could be because he came from a poor background, and people can’t seem to imagine how he rose from nothing to becoming the big shot that he now is. He even said that music is not his source of wealth. According to him, he has businesses that put food on his table, one of them being a construction company he runs.

He extended some sort advice to his colleagues in the industry, telling them to invest their music money in other areas, especially when they are still trending, as their fame will help boost that business. Fans don’t believe him anyway.

The said fan doesn’t see any reason why Jude should be happy when his younger ones are living as cat and dog. According to the fan, he as the eldest should try and reconcile them. Taking to the comment area of Jude’s post, the fan wrote:
