Introduction Of Ebony Reigns Biography

Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, known by the stage name Ebony, was a Ghanaian dancehall/Afrobeats artist known for her hit songs "Poison" and "Kupe". She was discovered by Bullet from Ruff n Smooth.
She is known in private life as Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng but goes by the popular stage name, Ebony (Reigns).
She was born on February 16th, 1997 in Accra, Ghana.
The hottest female Ghanaian dancehall artiste known for her seductive stage craft was born to Mr. and Mrs Opoku-Kwarteng (see their photo below).
Ebony who celebrated her 20th birthday some months ago is affably called Nana Hemaa (or Ohemaa {Queen}) by her father, and other close relatives.
NOTE: Ebony’s real father (yeah, the one in her ‘Sponsor’ Music Video), Mr. Opoku-Kwarteng is said to be a Chief of one of the towns in the Ashanti Region!

Her Early Life & Education
Ebony, who has gradually warmed herself into the hearts of many Ghanaians especially the youth with her seductive and provocative dress plus her ‘wild’ stage antics —- something her father sees nothing wrong with — was born and bred in Dansoman (Last Stop), Accra, Ghana.
She started her early education at the Seven Great Princess Academy located in Lartebiokorshie & Dansoman, Accra, Ghana, West Africa.
At this point, we would like you to know that the Ebony you love to see sing, dance, gyrate, wine and dine was once known as “CORRUPTION”! Yes, you read right!
And I mean, the word “Corruption” — I bet you never knew this ‘little secret’ (Remember where you first ‘heard’ it! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚).
She was known to be one ‘bad or stubborn girl’ in school — and very jovial, too. No wonder she refers to herself as the ‘The Original 90s Bad Gyal’ or with the tag: #original90sbadgyal.
In fact, one of Ebony’s classmates at Seven Great Princess Academy, Alhaji Wizboi Ayobami Abed tells us that they both used to ‘copy’ or ‘steal’ from each other a lot! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Ebony, the #original90sbadgyal had her Senior High education at the Methodist Girls High School at Mamfe in the Akuapim North District of the Eastern Region.
She later dropped out of school sometime in 2015 to peruse her music career – a decision she claims her father, Mr. Opoku-Kwarteng, agreed to.
Her Music Career: Hit songs

Ebony was discovered the same year she dropped out of school by well-known Ghanaian artiste & entrepreneur, Bullet (Ricky Nana Agyemang) — the other half of the music duo, Ruff N Smooth.
Bullet signed her (Ebony) to his record label — Ruff Town Records, and Mediastouch Inc (Owned by Gatdoe & Opoku Oppong Kwabena) — a day after he (Bullet) had listened to a recording of her voice she (Ebony) had earlier sent him (Bullet).
She now has her management team as: Ruff Town Records & Mediastouch Inc (Owned by Gatdoe & Opoku Oppong Kwabena)

Bullet has since been very instrumental in the making or production of Ebony’s hit songs.
Ebony released her first single (song) titled, “Dance Floor” with accompanying visuals (video) in December 2015.
After the release of her first single Dance Floor, she (Ebony) got her first nomination in the Unsung Category of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, 2016.
Currently, Ebony has these hit songs which are still being enjoyed both on-air and off-air: Poison, Kupe, Ediot, Date Ur Fada, and Sponsor.
