 and even the world. This beautiful 4 km/ 2.6 miles long beach in Rio de Janeiro became part of history after the luxurious hotel Copacabana Palace opened up shop in 1923. Copacabana beach is also the focal point of New Year's Eve celebrations in Rio de Janeiro

The most beautiful beach in Brazil – arguably the world - is Baía do Sancho at the island of Fernando de Noronha. Baía do Sancho beach has crystal clear water and its white sand is dotted with picturesque rocks. Tropical forests provide shade for some refreshment.

Baía do Sancho beach also has a great pro: from April to November the reef has great diving and snorkelling options. There is also a con: the location of the Fernando de Noronha archipelago is fairly remote, 525 km/ 326 miles from Recife and 350 km/ 217 miles from Natal (best accessible from Recife). 

Moreover, Baía do Sancho is the most remote beach in Fernando de Noronha... On the other hand, it only adds to Sancho's mythical paradise reputation...
