The Vice Chancellor Federal University Otuoke Prof. Seth Accra Jaja
says the University will not compromise merit in its admission process.
Prof Jaja said this Wednesday while monitoring the ongoing post unified
tertiary matriculation extermination (PUTME) at the University’s Data
Centre.
The VC who described the exercise as transparent commended the efforts
of the University staff for the successes being recorded.
He assured that the University will aim to sustain the trend. The
University helmsman who said about 10,000 candidates registered for the
exercise noted that adequate arrangements have been made by the
institution to ensure a hitch free exercise.
In an interview some candidates after their examination, commended the exercise expressing optimism to pass the examination.
Miss Sarah Debekeme is one of the candidates who applied to study
Accounting in FUO, she lauded the conduct of the exercise and its
orderliness.
Another candidate Mr Geoffrey ThankGod Cephas’s opinion went along the
same line. He however urged the University to sustain the tempo.
2,500 Candidates who scaled through the exercise will be admitted into the University for the 2018/2019 academic session
